The printing mechanism includes two transfer cylinders (5, 6), which can be adjusted to a spacing from each other. The two form cylinders (3, 4) can be similarly adjusted relative to the transfer cylinders. The form cylinders and transfer cylinders are in drive connection with endface gear wheels (11, 13; 12, 14). The transfer cylinders are not engaged with each other by the endface gear wheels.
