PURPOSE: A cast piece supporter of a continuous caster is provided to prevent a cast piece from tapering and to stably support the cast piece. CONSTITUTION: In order to expand width, molten steel stops injecting and a cast piece is pulled downward to place a meniscus on the upper part of a cast piece supporter. Then, molten steel is injected again without leaking by filling a filling agent into a casting mold. The cast piece is drawn when molten steel is filled up to the casting mold and at that time, the supporter falls down with the cast piece. Since the length of the casting mold is short, the cast piece is expanded for a short time.
