PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an easily installed cable hanger proper to automatic installation by remote control and a robot from a ground. SOLUTION: The cable hanger 1 is made of an elastic synthetic resin, a suspension wire M and a cable C are gripped between a pair of gripping pieces 2, 2, and the cable C is hung to the suspension wire M. The gripping pieces 2 are connected by a hinge section 3, and have mutual engaging sections 4 on the end sides. The gripping pieces 2 have suspension-wire gripping sections 5 and cable holding sections 6. The engaging sections 4 have the first engaging sections 4a and the second engaging sections 4b mutually engaged by operation closing sections among the gripping pieces 2. The suspension wire M and the cable C can be moved in the wire-extension direction, surrounding the suspension wire M and the cable C loosely under the state of the mutual temporary engagement of the engaging sections 4a, and the suspension wire M is gripped and movement in the wire-extension direction is prevented under the state of the main engagement of the engaging sections 4a, 4b. A plurality of the cable hangers are installed previously to the suspension wire M and the cable C under the state of temporary engagement, and interlinked mainly from end sequentially intermittently and mounted, moving the hangers in the wire-extension direction on the suspension wire M and the cable C. Mounting operation is simplified, and the cable hanger is proper to automatic installation by remote control and a robot from a ground.
