PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power supply device which enables to effectively suppress a rush current without causing an excessive temperature rise in its inrush current limiting thermistor. SOLUTION: An inrush current limiting thermistor 18 is connected to an output line of a booster circuit 6. Since the voltage of the output line of the booster circuit 6 is higher than that of the input line, the current becomes inverse-proportionally smaller and a temperature rise in the inrush current limiting thermistor 18 is hard to occur. Therefore a smaller thermistor can be used for the inrush current limiting thermistor 18 and the number of elements to be used can be reduced.
