This vehicle body structure (1) is provided with a roof-side rail (2) which extends in the longitudinal direction of the vehicle, a pillar (3) which is joined at the top end to the interior-side surface of the rood-side rail (2) and which extends in the vertical direction, and a roof arch (4) which is joined at the left and right ends to interior-side surface of the rood-side rail (2) and which extends in the vehicle width direction. The pillar (3) is provided with a pillar bead (7) which extends in the vertical direction and protrudes in the vehicle interior-exterior direction, the roof arch (4) is provided with a roof bead (10) which extends in the left-right direction and protrudes in the vehicle interior-exterior direction, and the pillar (3) and the roof arch (4) are joined together such that the pillar bead (7) and the roof bead (10) overlap in the vehicle interior-exterior direction. By means of this configuration, it is possible both to ensure the rigidity and strength in the periphery of the joint between the pillar and the roof arch, and to suppress increases in the weight of the vehicle body by reducing the number of components. |
