PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform a drying operation in an optimum drying time without damaging and shrinking clothes and also to prevent the respective parts of a warm blow circulating route from becoming high in temperature in a washing and drying machine for successively controlling a series of processes of washing, rinsing, dehydrating and drying. SOLUTION: An internal tub 4 having a rotary center axis in the nearly vertical direction is freely rotatably supported inside an external tub 3 which is elastically hung inside a case 1, the internal tub 4 is driven by a motor 10 and a warm blow heated by a heater 15 is supplied into the internal tub 4 by a drying blower 14 and circulated in the warm blow circulating route 18. A control means controls the processes such as washing, rinsing, dehydrating and drying, turns off the heater 15 when the temperature of a circulation blow injected to the internal tub 4, which is detected by a second thermister 32, becomes a first kind of prescribed temperature and, then, adjusts the temperature of the circulation blow by operating the heater 15 when the temperature of the circulation blow comes to be lower than that in the warm blow circulating route 18, which is detected by a first thermister 31, by the second kind of prescribed temperature.
