摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging system, capable of imaging a video with one imaging element, and accurately imaging the video at a low cost, when the illuminance of an imaging area is not lower than prescribed brightness or not higher than the prescribed brightness. SOLUTION: A video signal S1 from an imaging element 1 for imaging an area is matrix processed by a video signal processing means 3, and a video signal S3 for high illuminance and a video signal S4 for low illuminance are generated and are displayed at a video monitor means 5, so as to be monitored. The brightness of the monitor area is detected by a light quantity detecting means 2 for detecting a signal indicating the brightness of the moving area; when subject illuminance is sufficient, a video switching means 4 is switched to the high illuminance side according to a switching signal S5 from a control means 6; and the video signal is outputted to the video monitor means 5; while when the prescribed brightness is not satisfied by the subject illuminance as the detected result of the light quantity detecting means 2, the video switching means 5 is switched to the low illuminance side, and the video signal is outputted to the video monitor means 5.
