PURPOSE: A near field optical recorder is provided to protect a light transmitting and receiving unit from heat generated from a light radiating unit even when both of the light radiating unit and the light transmitting and receiving unit are formed on a slider. CONSTITUTION: A near field optical recorder has a slider(100) on which an opposite lens is mounted. The slider includes a main body, a thin plate(120), a laser diode chip(122), a light transmitting and receiving unit(200), and a heat blocking unit(300). The main body of the slider has an objective lens(111) and the opposite lens that are arranged in a stack structure such that their optical axes accord with each other. The thin plate has a through-hole(121) in which the objective lens is set. The laser diode chip is installed on the thin plate. The light transmitting and receiving unit is formed on the thin plate and inputs light emitted from the laser diode chip to a disk through the opposite lens to form near field. The heat blocking unit is formed between the laser diode chip and the light transmitting and receiving unit.
