PURPOSE:To provide surface smoothness and roundness comparable to those of a metallic cylinder at a low cost by mixing synthetic polyolefin pulp with wood pulp, making paper, and manufacturing a substrate of the paper by heating and pressurization from the circumferential direction. CONSTITUTION:Starting materials such as 90-0wt% wood pulp and 10-100wt% synthetic polyolefin pulp are mixed, and paper is made with the aim of 60-150g/m<2> basis weight to obtain a sheet as a material for a substrate. While or after winding the sheet around a splittable cylindrical core material in a required thickness, the wound body is heated at about 110-170 deg.C near the m.p. of the polyolefin pulp and pressurized from the circumferential direction, whereby the synthetic pulp is partially melted and stuck to the wood pulp, or the synthetic pulp is melt stuck together. The core material is then split and removed to obtain a cylindrical molding as a substrate. |
