PURPOSE:To provide a control signal generator which can generate signal pulse with time width of fraction of one period of signal pulse generated from an encoder to perform phase detection of a moving body. CONSTITUTION:A signal generator generates signal based on pulse signal from an encoder to perform phase detection of carrying (moving body) of a printer, for example, with time width being a half or a third of one period of the pulse and performs ink jet and recording at high density corresponding to the signal. Control pulse train is obtained using pulse signals bn-1', bn', ... from the encoder and pulses fn-2', fn-1', fn' which are generated when down counter performs down count into zero based on clock signal value counted by up counter and divided into 1/2 period using clock signal being not divided. |
