Engine mounting for motor vehicles

The engine mounting comprises the mounts fixed to the engine block and the damping blocks fixed on the body frame. The damping blocks have a wedge-shaped step, which projects laterally into a channel-shaped depression of the engine mounts provided with slanting side walls. Mounts and damping blocks are so designed that, for reciprocal centring of engine and body during assembly of these, there is a restricted guidance which also permits tolerance balancing in order to be able to carry out automatic assembly.
