PURPOSE:To speed up a retrieval and update processing by fetching a data base area to be accessed in a page memory in the lump at the start of data base processing and performing an address control thereof by a page group control table and an address table. CONSTITUTION:An application processing part 3 specifies the data base area (group) to be accessed when a start instruction for data base processing is generated. A data base processing part 4 sends the page number of a page group corresponding to the group to a memory control part 6 on the basis of the start instruction for data base processing. The memory control part 6 reads the page group in page memories 7-1-7-n and also generates the address table 10 corresponding to a page memory 7-i wherein the page number and page are read and the page group control table 9 which contains the start page number of a page group present successively on the data base 2, the number of successive pages, and the address indicating the position in said address table 10 in a group in the memory control part 6.
