The invention relates to a pad 1 equipped with two tabs 2 which fasten the pad onto the skis (or heavy objects, such as tools), by virtue of adhesive strips placed on both sides at the ends of the tabs. It consists of a thick pad filled with synthetic foam. The two tabs are fastened onto the pad in the direction of its width with an identical dimension on each side and in the middle. The ends of the two tabs are equipped with adhesive strips. These strips are placed one on the first side, the other on the other side. By virtue of these strips, the tabs are closed and permit fastening of the pad onto the skis. The assembly for protecting the shoulder of a man is intended especially for the transportation of skis. <IMAGE>
