PURPOSE:To make it possible to do various cooking without using a diode, auxiliary heat generating body, etc., by providing a lower heater, middle heater, and upper heater respectively in a roasting chamber with a distance between them and making it possible at least to pass electric current simultaneously only to the upper and lower heaters. CONSTITUTION:An electric circuit connects in series to an alternating current power source 13 a timer 14 for setting cooking time and an upper heater 5, middle heater 6 and lower heater 7 with those heaters connected in parallel, and a change-over switch 15 is connected to the middle heater 6 in series. In the toast roasting the upper heater 5, middle heater 6, and lower heater 7 are simultaneously energized by the operation of the change-over switch 15 so that it is possible to heat almost uniformly the front and rear faces of a toast on the upper and lower roasting nets 8 and 9. For cooking pizza, gratin, etc. only the upper heater 5 and lower heater 7 are energized simultaneously and because there is a distance between the food and the upper heater a balance between the upper heater and the lower heater can be struck and when the upper section of a food is cooked, its inside can be cooked at 60 deg.C-70 deg.C which is suitable for the food.
