PURPOSE:To improve toughness while maintaining superior magnetic properties and high specific resistance value, by adding, in combination, specific amounts of Al and one or more elements among Nb, Ti, Zr, Hf, V, W, and Mo to an Fe-Si alloy with a specific composition. CONSTITUTION:Soft-magnetic cast parts for dot printer have a composition consisting of, by weight ratio, 2.5-8.0% Si, 0.1-6.0% Al, 0.005-0.05% C, 0.002-<0.02% O, further 0.05-5%, in total, of one or more elements among Nb, Ti, Zr, Hf, V, W, and Mo, and the balance Fe with inevitable impurities. Nb, Ti, Zr, Hf, V, W, and Mo have effects of combining with C and reducing the amount of solid-solution C deteriorating corrosion resistance. By the composition of the Fe-Si alloy, toughness is improved and high magnetic permeability and low coercive force can be attained, so that this alloy can cope with the miniaturization of printer heads, etc., manufactured by casting. |
