The arrangement for observing small objects with magnification contains a light collector for magnifying image formation. The collecting element is a mirror (2) with a holder (6) and a transparent support (8) for the object (10) arranged at a fixed distance vertically above the mirror. The concave mirror is of strength -6 to -11 dioptres radius of curvature. The distance of the object support from the mirror is less than the mirror's focal length. USE/ADVANTAGE - Enables simple rapid inspection of light and dark stones without inducing fatigue.
