<p>A spring device (10) formed from a material which is form retaining but resilient and deformable. More particularly, the spring device (10) preferably has a predetermined thickness dimension (11) and has an outer periphery which may be preferably circular or elliptically shaped and preferably has an aperture (14) therethrough. More particularly, the spring device may act as both a tension and a compression spring. The spring action, whether compression or tension, is a consequence of the deformation of the spring device (10). With application of external forces, deformation of the spring device (10) results and deforms, for example, from elliptical toward circular or circular toward elliptical, i.e., there are device major (10) and the device minor (19) axes dimensions and aperture major and minor axes dimensions which are caused to change from a circular to an elliptical shape.</p> |
