Plant pot labeling system

The system to insert labels into plant pots has a slit (8) in the plant pot (1). As the plant pot is advanced by a conveyor, a moving guide surface (16) orients the plant pot into the required position for the insertion of a pot label (10). The guide surface has an angled tongue (17), to be inserted into the label slit from below for its alignment, operated by a cylinder (19) worked by a fluid supply. A guide plate (21), of wood or metal or plastics, shrouds the foliage while the label is inserted.
