The tensile element takes the form of main ropes (2) and smaller diameter ancillary ropes (3) with diameter between 2 and 9 mm. The main ropes cover the entire width (B) of the belt as opposed to the ancillary ropes which are confined to the center part (A), amounting to 0.3 times the width (B). One to three ancillary ropes lie between each pair of main ropes except for the belt connections which are devoid of ancillary ropes.
