<p>PURPOSE: An encoding method for radio transmission/reception of a multimedia data, and a device therefor are provided so that image quality can be improved by reducing an overhead and error. CONSTITUTION: A length field displaying a number of bits in an information data region is generated. An error correction code is generated by performing an error correction coding on the length field. Thereafter, the length field and the error correction code are inserted in a radio link protocol framing process. Here, when a null data exists instead of the information data, a null display field displaying the existence of the null data is generated. In this case, the error correction coding is performed on the length field and the null display field, thereby generating the error correction code. In addition, in the radio link protocol framing process, a series of fill bits having a specific logic are inserted to perform a byte-alignment for obtaining a fixed length. Accordingly, when the multimedia data including an image data is transmitted/received in a radio environment, the overhead and errors can be decreased, thereby improving the image quality.</p> |
