The steering method uses a rotation device (8,9) for discontinuous rotation of the supply line (3) for the drilling head (2) to provide the required steering movement, the ground drilling device (1) having an asymmetrical configuration or force application in the vicinity of the drilling head. An Independent claim for a directional ground drilling device is also included.
