ABSORPTION CHILLER/HEATER USING AIR COOLING SYSTEM

PURPOSE: An absorption chiller/heater using air cooling system is provided to achieve a reduced size, simplified structure and low cost by avoiding use of water coolant and eliminating a temperature controller for an indoor unit. CONSTITUTION: An absorption chiller/heater comprises an outer case(12); a generator(14) installed above a heating element(15); a condenser(3) for condensing the aqueous vapor flowing through the generator; an evaporator(10) for evaporating water isolated from the condenser; a gas-liquid separator(23) connected to the generator and a pipeline, and which separates the fluid flowing from the generator into vapor and solution; an absorber(11) connected to the bottom of the evaporator and which absorbs the water obtained by cooling the vapor from the evaporator and the solution from the gas-liquid separator; a solution heat exchanger(13) mounted at a side of the absorber so as to perform heat exchange operation with the solution separated by the gas-liquid separator; and a fan(1) for blowing air onto the top of the condenser which is connected to the gas-liquid separator, so as to cool the vapor.
