PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To cut a work by a cutting machine without changing the reference position of the work in all processes that the work is stored in a storage chamber, delivered therefrom and cut by the cutting machine. SOLUTION: When the work W is fed to a three-dimensional stocker 5 by a work feeder 7, a reference end Ws of the work W is pod at a feeding and butting reference surface 55 of the feeder. Then, the reference end Ws of the work W is butted to a butting reference surface 39 for each stocker 3 of the three-dimensional stocker 5, and positioned thereat. The work W in each stocker 3 is received by a work carrier 9, and carried to a predetermined position ST3, and the reference end Ws of the work W is butted to the butting reference surface 89 for a feeder 13, positioned and fed to the cutting machine. The reference end Ws of the work W is constantly and reliably carried into the cutting position of the cutting machine without any change, and cut thereby.
