PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an allergen remover which can effectively remove allergens such as organisms such as acarids, carcasses thereof, or excreta thereof by a simple cleaning operation and does not cause the object to which it is applied to change in its touch and to provide a method for removing an allergen. SOLUTION: The allergen remover contains (a) an organic compound which forms an azeotrope with water and has an azeotropic temperature of below 100°C when distilled with water at 1013.25 hPa, (b) water, (c) a solid source substance which is exemplified by an organic compound having a melting point of 25°C or higher, is soluble in at least either component (a) or component (b), and forms a solid when the liquid component in the allergen remover is evaporated from the remover, and (d) at least one compound selected from among jasmonoid, a chain sesquiterpene alcohol, and a chain sesquiditerpene alcohol.
