FIELD: rolled stock production, mainly universal spindles of drive units of vertical rolls of cogging, thick-sheet rolling, rough rolling four-high stands of wide-strip hot rolling mills. SUBSTANCE: universal spindle of drive unit of vertical rolls has upper and lower Hooke's universal joints connected respectively with vertical output shaft of reduction gear of drive unit of roll with driven stem. In lower fork of upper joint by means of flange joint with dent and groove vertical splined shaft is mounted in splined sleeve. In lower end of said sleeve there is flange with diametrical groove which is joined to flange (with diametrical dent) of upper fork of lower joint. There is central opening in flange of said fork. In lower portion of flange of splined sleeve and in dent of flange of upper fork of lower joint there are coaxial cylindrical turnings for placing centering ring. In central opening of flange of upper fork of lower joint bushing is mounted fluid-tightly and it is turned upwards by its bottom. Protective jacket is secured to upper end of splined sleeve. Central dead opening is provided in splined shaft; said dead opening is connected with radial openings. Said radial openings are arranged over protective jacket at limit lower position of splined sleeve and they are arranged over upper end of splined sleeve at working position of rolling roll. EFFECT: enhanced operational reliability of spindle, lowered consumption of rolling rolls, reduced emergency periods of rolling mill, improved efficiency of rolling mill, less loss of yield, enhanced accuracy of rolling and quality of rolled strips. 8 dwg |
