<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reflector capable of obtaining a small spot diameter and attaining high light utilization efficiency. <P>SOLUTION: The reflector 102 for a light-emitting tube 103 at least equipped with a light-emitting part 103a for supplying illumination light, and a glass tube GL nearly sealing the periphery of a light-emitting part 103a by given refractive power, has a given light axis AX. A light-emitting part 102a is arranged on the light axis AX, and the glass tube GL has such a refractive force that forms a virtual image of the light-emitting part at a position distant from the light axis AX by a given distance d in nearly a vertical direction, and the shape of the reflector 102 is a surface of revolution formed by rotating a curve EP1 or EP2 which are obtained by moving an elliptic curve EP applying the light axis AX as a center axis in a direction nearly vertical to the light axis by the prescribed distance d, around the light axis AX. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO</p> |
