PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing process of a fluorine-containing acrylate copolymer useful as a raw material for a photo-sensitive resin, a fiber, a lens and the like with which the acrylate copolymer is simply manufactured by radically copolymerizing various vinyl monomers. SOLUTION: A vinyl monomer and a fluorine-containing acrylate as expressed by general formula (I) or general formula (II) [in general formula (I), R<SP>1</SP>is a 1-4C alkyl group; in general formula (II), R<SP>2</SP>is a hydrogen atom or a hydroxy group.] are copolymerized in the presence of a radical polymerization initiator.
