SIGNAL TRANSMITTING METHOD, BIDIRECTIONAL COMMUNICATION SYSTEM, DISPLAY DEVICE, AND BASE DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bidirectional communication system through which AV appliances of a plurality of makers modulated with different carrier frequencies can remotely be controlled. SOLUTION: The system comprises a display device 100 which generates digital data by sampling an operation signal sent with a radio signal from a remote operation means 310 of an external input device 300 while a carrier is included and transmits the data to a base device 200 through a communication line 320 and the base device 200 to which the external input device 300 is connected and which restores the operation signal based upon the data sent from the display device 100 and sends a radio signal of the restored operation signal to the external input device 300. This external input device 300 performs processing corresponding to the operation signal sent from the base device 200, and generates and sends an information signal to the display device 100 through the base device 200.
