<p>Onto the rear of the car drawing the trailer, is fixed an angle bracket (17) carrying a vertical pivot rod to the top of which is attached a conventional coupling sphere (12) additional support being given by a bent strap (11) near the top. This sphere is engaged by a cap (12) attached to an A-frame (39) secured to the trailer, the frame including a cross bar (36) near the front of the trailer. Between the vertical pivot rod and this cross bar extends horizontally a composite leef spring with a short upper blade (13) and a longer lower blade (1), the vertical gap between the end of the longer blade and the cross bar being bridged by a resiliently mounted double cranked bar (26).</p> |
