PURPOSE:A coordination compound between cellulose and copper, formed from cuprammonium cellulose solution, is reduced to produce copper-containing cellulose moldings with high electric conductivity and mechanical strength. CONSTITUTION:A cuproammonium cellulose solution forming a complex salt of formulaI, consisting of 10wt% cellulose, 7% ammonia and 3.6% cupper, is extruded through a spinneret and led into a coagulation bath such as hot water, or alkali to form filaments, hollow fiber, or films of copper-cellulose cordination compound a part of which is hydrolyzed of formula II. After the product is dried to less than 50%, preferably less than 20% water content, it is dipped in a 0.2-0.4% sodium borohydride aqueous solution as a reducing agent, preferably in the presence of, 2-4% potassium bicarbonate as a catalyst, to give the objective formings. EFFECT:The product get fungicidal activity caused by copper and good luster additionally. |
