<p>A one-piece multifocal ophthalmic lens (10) having a blended area (14) between the different portions of the lens to render the intersection therebetween less visible. The blended area (14) is of varying width, and, in particular, is of a relatively narrow width at locations (16) frequently used for vision purposes so as to provide a reduced area of optical distortion at such locations, and is relatively wide at other locations (17) of the lens less commonly used for vision purposes so as to more effectively render the intersection less visible at such other locations.</p> |
