Bicycle pedal mechanism - has links between pedals and eccentric sprocket, avoiding occurrence of dead centre positions

The bicycle has two pedal cranks axially in line and in separate bearings. Each has a link allowing a small amount of radial movement to a sprocket in bearings eccentric to theirs. No dead-centre position occurs at the start of each half-turn of the link on performing a working stroke. This half-turn can exert a relatively large torque at the start.
