PURPOSE:To make the high speed material handling of a bulk material by a bucket wheel possible for enhancing the efficiency of the material handling, by making the bottom of a bucket in a double frame structure and by providing a blow-out hole for compressed gas and a compressed gas feed pipe, in the inner bottom and between the inner and outer bottoms, respectively. CONSTITUTION:The bottom of a bucket 2 attached to a bucket wheel body 1 is formed in a double frame structure, a blow-out hole 6 for compressed gas being formed in the inner bottom and a compressed air feed pipe 5 being communicated with the space between the inner and outer bottoms. In operation, the wheel body 1 is rotated at a high speed for preventing a bulk material 4 scooped into the bucket 2 from falling, by holding the bulk material 4 under centrifugal force thereto, so that the material handling may be surely made. The bulk material 4 is dropped from the inside of the bucket 2, overcoming the centrifugal force by selectively blowing out compressed air from the blow- out hole 6, for discharging the material 4 into a chute below the bucket wheel 1. Thereby, the high speed material handling of the bulk materia, 4 is made possible and therefore, the efficiency of material handling is enhanced. |
