A device for controlling the transport path of objects (1) comprises a first conveyor belt (2) which transports the objects (1), one or more parallel adjacent second conveyor belts (3) which transport the objects (1) further, one or more deflecting elements (4) which deflect the objects (1) from first conveyor belt (2) on to one of the second conveyor belts (3) and a control device for the deflecting elements (4). In order to obtain a particularly compact construction, the first conveyor belt (2) is inclined at an angle to the second conveyor belts (3), on which it rests, and its thickness is so small that the objects (1) can slide from the first conveyor belt (2) to one of the second conveyor belts (3) without the risk of overturning. The deflecting elements (4) are arranged on the side of the first conveyor belt (2) opposed to the direction of transport of the second conveyor belts (3). The first conveyor belt (2) may be, for example, a steel strip of thickness between 0.1 and 0.5 mm. |
