A central unit CU broadcasts downlink data from an MBH via an MFH to each of one or more data managers DM, and concurrently performs scheduling to allocate radio resources possessed by each of one or more radio remote units RRU for radio transmission of the downlink data. On the basis of the scheduling allocation results, each data manager DM selects, from downlink data from the central unit CU that has been accumulated by the data manager DM, downlink data for a corresponding radio remote unit RRU which corresponds to said data manager DM, transfers the downlink data to the corresponding radio remote unit RRU, and discards downlink data for other radio remote units RRU. On the basis of the allocation results, each radio remote unit RRU uses the specified radio resource to perform radio transmission of the downlink data from the data manager DM to corresponding user equipment UE. In this way it is possible for downlink data to be transferred efficiently from the central unit CU to each radio remote unit RRU via an MFH built using a TDM system, typified by a TDM-PON. |
