PURPOSE:To enable execution of reliable parking through simple and low-cost constitution by a method wherein an interlocking means to operate a service brake (main brake) mechanism through operation of a parking brake (side brake) is provided, and wheels on both sides and on the front and the rear side are respectively locked thereby. CONSTITUTION:When a brake pedal 1 of a service brake mechanism 100 is stepped on, a master cylinder 2 is actuated, a set of front and rear hydraulic brakes 3L, 3R, 4L, and 4R on both sides are actuated, a set of front and rear wheels FL, FR, RL, and RR on both sides are brought into a locked state. Meanwhile, the brake pedal 1 is released from stepping-on, the wheels FL - RR are respectively brought into a free state. When a parking lever 10 is rotated upward so that a vehicle is parked, a lower arm 1b of the brake pedal 1 is pulled forward through a parking brake cable 20 serving as an interlocking means. As a result, the brake pedal 1 is actuated in a similar manner described above regarding a step-on time. |
