The winding winds in the outer parts (13, 15) are so adjusted that they provide a suitable heating voltage to the cathodes (17, 18) where the central winding (14) gives a voltage during the tube (16) ignition voltage which is essentially higher than its burn voltage. The transformer is firstly fed with a low current strength which heats the cathodes (17, 18) without starting the discharge, and the current strength after a time delay is raised by jumps so that discharges starts, whereby the tube (16) burn voltage via the transformer regulates the voltage over the cathodes (17, 18) to an essentially lower value. The time delay for the higher current strength is controlled by a heat-sensitive circuit which monitors the light tube temp. |
