HANDOVER APPARATUS OF WIBRO AND THE METHOD THEREOF

A handover apparatus of a WiBro network and a method thereof are provided to perform handover by performing processes such as CoA(Care of Address) generation and fast binding after extracting the prefix information of an AR by using the ID(Identification) of a MOB_NBRM_ADV(Mobile Neighbor Advertisement Message) transmission BS(Base Station) from stored entire network information, thereby significantly reducing time required to perform the handover and preventing a handover delay. A handover method for a WiBro(Wireless Broadband) network comprises the following steps of: allowing an MN(Mobile Node) to transmit a network message of requesting a currently accessing AR(Access Router) to provide the entire network information of the Wibro network during the booting of the MN(S11); allowing the currently accessing AR to transmit a network message including the entire network information to the MN(S12); allowing the MN to receive and store the entire network information from the AR(S13); and allowing the MN to generate a binding update message by using the stored entire network information and request the currently accessing AR to perform binding update(S18).
