摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of manufacturing a light diffusion film which is capable of diffusing incident light to form an elliptical shape on a plane parallel therewith and is highly suitable for use with rectangular displays, and to provide such light diffusion film.SOLUTION: A method of manufacturing a light diffusion film includes a step of irradiating a coating layer with active energy rays such that an azimuthal direction of a minimum incident angular width of the active energy rays is orthogonal to an azimuthal direction of a maximum incident angular width of the active energy rays at an arbitrary point in a region on a coating layer surface having the greatest illuminance of the active energy rays from an active energy ray source, where the minimum value of the incident angular width of the active energy rays shall be no more than 10°, and the maximum value of the incident angular width of the active energy rays shall be more than 10°and no more than 40°.
