[Class 44.] The front-plate of the slider of a sliding-clasp fastening is made transparent, e.g. of celluloid, to render it inconspicuous. The slider shown is built up from four parts comprising a member, shown separate, Fig. 1, having limbs 1, 2 and crosspiece 3 of wedge cross section, the operating tab 11 being engaged in a recess 13 and retained by the front-plate 6 the inner edge of which engages in a slot 4, the plate being retained by bending down a tongue 8. The back-plate 7 is engaged in a slot 5 and retained by a bentdown tongue 9. According to the Specification as open to inspection under Sect. 91 (3) (a) the slider may be coated or otherwise treated to resemble the adjacent material in appearance and colour, but this subject-matter does not appear in the Specification as accepted. |
