PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce a waiting time at the time of power switched on and restoration from an energy-saving mode, with maintained gain adjustment accuracy.SOLUTION: An imaging apparatus includes: a photoelectric converter unit 12a for performing photoelectric conversion into an electric signal corresponding to an amount of light receiving for each pixel in the light-receiving region of incident light; an AD converter unit 12b for converting the pixel-by-pixel electric signal into digital light-receiving data; and a gain adjustment unit 13b for adjusting an amplification gain value of light-receiving data, using the information of the maximum value of the light-receiving data. Timing generation means 11 and readout control unit 12c output photoelectrically converted electric signals of only pixels in a designated region of the light-receiving region in a light accumulation time corresponding to the number of pixels in the designated region. From the gain value adjusted by the gain adjustment unit 13b, a gain calculation unit 15 calculates a gain value to be set, using the ratio of the light accumulation time to a light accumulation time when the photoelectric converter unit 12a photoelectrically converts pixels in all light-receiving regions. |
