PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide: a power storage device arranged so that a liquid inlet can be sealed by a seal member even when having a pressure release valve formed by a press work; and a method for manufacturing such a power storage device.SOLUTION: A secondary battery 10 comprises: a case 11; an electrolyte enclosed in the case 11; and a cap 14 with a liquid inlet 14c provided therein. The secondary battery 10 further comprises a sealing member 20. The sealing member 20 has a flange part 22 opposed to a seal member support part 14f surrounding the liquid inlet 14c in an outer wall face 14b of the cap 14. In addition, the secondary battery 10 comprises: a seal member 30 provided on the seal member support part 14f and sandwiched by the outer wall face 14b of the cap 14 and the flange part 22; and a pressure release valve 40 formed in the cap 14 by press molding. The seal member support part 14f is formed to have a flat face by press molding, which was performed for the purpose of increasing the flatness of the part surrounding the liquid inlet 14c after the formation of the liquid inlet 14c. |
