The invention relates to a method for packaging a window with frame insulation, said window comprising a frame, a sash and a pane, said frame having a top member, a bottom member and two side members, said frame insulation being adapted for use on the outer side of the frame in an installed condition of the window, and to a kit for a packed window. The method comprises the steps of: A. providing a packaging element, such as a cardboard element; B. placing said window on said packaging element; C. arranging said frame insulation on said window; and D. closing said packaging element around the window and frame insulation. In step D. at least a part of the frame insulation is arranged between the pane and the packaging element so as to protect the pane of the packed window. In the kit, the packaging element (20) is adapted for providing a space between the packaging element (20) and the window (10) in the packed state and such a space located between a pane (17) of the window (10) and the packaging element (30) is filled by at least a part of the frame insulation (30). |
