A display panel according to an embodiment of the present invention comprises: a substrate; a first electrode layer and a second electrode layer provided on the substrate so as to face each other; a light emitting layer which is provided between the first electrode layer and the second electrode layer, for emitting light by means of voltage applied to the first electrode layer and the second electrode layer; a polarizing layer which includes wire grids for transmitting first polarizing component light emitted by the light emitting layer and reflecting the emitted second polarizing component light; a phase retardation layer for emitting the second polarizing component light reflected by the polarizing layer by retarding a phase thereof, and emitting the first polarizing component light by delaying a phase of light reflected by at least one of the first electrode layer and the second electrode layer; an absorption layer, provided on the side of the polarizing layer where the first polarizing component light is emitted, for transmitting the first polarizing component light from the outside and absorbing the second polarizing component light from the outside; and a buffer layer, provided on the side of the polarizing layer where the first polarizing component light is emitted, for absorbing the second polarizing component light from the outside.
