Sept. 10, 1934, No. 25969. [Class 112] A flexible metal disc bearing for the needle bar of buttonhole sewing-machines permits reciprocation, rotation and lateral jogging of the needle-bar. The needle-bar 12 reciprocates and rotates in a bearing sleeve 16 which carries a flexible metal disc 20 clamped at its centre between a shoulder on the sleeve and a lock nut 19. At its periphery, the disc is clamped between a shoulder 14 and lock nut 15. The flexible sleeve permits jogging motion of the needle. |
