Provided is a sheet stretching device which, in a state where a sheet is stretched on a frame, is able to prevent as much as possible the unnecessary movement of a locking member for leading a sheet into the frame and securing the sheet and suppress the slack of the sheet. On the surface side of a frame 2, a locking groove 2a is formed along the length direction thereof, and at the peripheral edge of a sheet 3, a locking plate 4 having a rectangular cross section and to be engaged with the locking groove is attached. The locking plate is formed from an elastic material so as to have a thickness approximately equal to the width of the locking groove, and a plurality of protrusions 4a are formed at intervals in the depth direction of the locking groove on an inner wall surface of the locking plate and/or a side surface of the locking plate. |
