A lubricant composition comprising: a base oil included in an amount of greater than 70 wt. % based on a total weight of said lubricant composition, wherein said base oil has a viscosity of from 1 to 20 cSt when tested at 100° C. according to ASTM D445, and wherein said base oil is selected from the group of API Group I base oils, API Group II base oils, API Group III base oils, and combinations thereof; an epoxide compound; and a sterically hindered amine compound having the general formula (XIV) or (XV): wherein each R16 is independently a hydrogen atom or a hydrocarbyl group having from 1 to 17 carbon atoms, wherein at least two groups designated by R16 are each an alkyl group,wherein each R17 is independently a hydrogen atom or a hydrocarbyl group having from 1 to 17 carbon atoms,wherein each R18 is independently a hydrogen atom or a hydrocarbyl group having from 1 to 17 carbon atoms, wherein at least two groups designated by R18 are each an alkyl group,wherein each R19 is independently a hydrogen atom or a hydrocarbyl group having from 1 to 17 carbon atoms, andwherein the hydrocarbyl groups designated by R16, R17, R18, and R19 are each independently and optionally substituted with an alcohol group, an amide group, an ether group, or an ester group.
