PURPOSE: To provide a constitution for protecting a driving circuit part and enhancing reliability by making a counter substrate exist to face a display region and driving circuit region. CONSTITUTION: The surface of the counter substrate 11 which is formed with ITO(indium tin oxide) as a counter electrode in the display region part or the entire surface and has a size to cover the driving circuit part of an opposite substrate is screen printed with sealing materials 14 so as to respectively separately enclose the display region 12 and the driving circuit region 13. The sealing material enclosing the display region is previously formed with a liquid crystal injection port 15. After spacers are sprayed on the display region of the substrate 10, the substrate 10 and the counter substrate 11 are stuck to each other and the spacers are cured by irradiating the spacers with UV rays. The entire part of the substrates stuck to each other is put in a reduced pressure state and a liquid crystal material 16 is injected into the display region and is sealed. Then, the counter substrate 11 eventually exists in the part facing the driving circuit region 13.
