The invention relates to a method for preparing a lightweight mortar or concrete, having a density of less than 1800 kg/m3 in the hardened state, from a dry or pasty composition containing at least one inorganic or organic binder, aggregate, and at least one air-entraining agent. The method includes preparing said composition by mixing different components in the presence of a glycerine amount of between 0.01 and 4 wt% based on the total weight of the dry or pasty composition. The invention also relates to the resulting composition and to the use thereof for manufacturing construction materials such as wall coatings, façade coatings, technical mortars, floor coatings, or lightweight screeds. |
