PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a portable telephone capable of releasing a lock state by an intuitive operation regardless of a language to be understood by a user.SOLUTION: A portable telephone 10 includes: a touch panel 38; and a touch panel control circuit 36 for detecting a touch operation. A lock state for limiting a telephone function, etc. can be set in the portable telephone 10. When a key operation is performed while the lock state is set, an object indicating that the lock state is being set is displayed on a display 30. When a slide operation is performed with respect to the touch panel 38, a processor 24 updates the displaying of the object with the slide operation and releases the lock state.
